After each use, wipe down PawGuard with a damp cloth to remove dirt, drool, or debris, or hand wash it in cool water with a mild, pet-safe detergent if it needs a deeper clean. Since it's a fabric product, this is one you can actually rinse — just avoid tossing it in the washing machine, as the spin cycle can stretch or damage the strap and lining.
Avoid bleach, fabric softener, or harsh detergents, as these can break down the material and irritate your dog's skin over repeated use. Never put PawGuard in the dryer — high heat can warp the shape and weaken the waterproof coating.
Let it air dry completely, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, before putting it back on your dog. Store it somewhere cool and dry between uses, and avoid folding it too tightly along the same crease repeatedly, which can wear down the material faster over time.
